Thrace Plastics: First quarter sales at 106.3 million euros
Earnings before Taxes, Interest and Depreciation (EBITDA) for the first quarter of 2022 amount to 15.5 million euros
The sales of Plastics Thrace in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 106.3 million euros.
In particular, the Thrace Plastics Holding Company, regarding the financial results of the first quarter 2022, notes that sales in the first quarter of the year amounted to 106.3 million euros, while in the first quarter of 2021 sales amounted to 111.4 million.
Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) for the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 15.5 million euros, while in the first quarter of 2021 they amounted to 35.9 million euros.
Earnings before Taxes (EBT) for the first quarter of 2022 amount to 10.7 million euros, of which 6.4 million euros relate to the traditional product portfolio and 4.3 million euros come from sales of personal protection products.
Profits before taxes of the first quarter from the traditional product portfolio are 27.2% behind, compared to Profits before taxes from the traditional product portfolio of the corresponding period last year. However, given the particular circumstances prevailing both in the first quarter of 2021, due to the outbreak of the pandemic, and the current special circumstances, due to the ongoing war and inflationary pressures, it becomes extremely difficult to directly compare the two regions.
Compared to pre-pandemic levels, ie in the first quarter of 2019, Profit before Taxes in the first quarter of 2022 has more than doubled, showing an increase of 108.9%, demonstrating significantly increased profitability, despite the extremely negative conditions prevailing in the global market in first quarter of 2022 and the significant increase in the cost of Raw Materials, energy and transport.
In terms of liquidity levels and as a result of the implementation of the investment plan, the Group maintained its increased liquidity, recording Net Borrowing of 12.4 million euros. It should be noted that the comparison with the previous year refers to ongoing activities.
