Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) – Visit Greece and the Ministry of Tourism are candidates for the World’s Leading Tourist Board 2022 award at the World Travel Awards, the most prestigious tourism awards globally, emphasizing the work done by EOT as stressed by EOT sec. gen. Dimitris Fragakis.
Milestone year for Greek tourism in 2022
“After the great adventure of the pandemic, this year we managed to get to the complete restart of tourism, the most important branch of the Greek economy”, says Mr. Fragakis. “Greek tourism is heading for the next day, we are optimistic about its prospects and we are working to do even better.”
In addition to EOT, Greek tourism gathers a total of 11 nominations at the World Travel Awards 2022, which proves its strong potential. Greece as a destination is also a candidate for the 2022 World’s Leading Destination award.
