The first Gastronomy School was organized on Lesvos
It was organized by the Molyvos Tourism Agency in collaboration with the Vocational Training Center of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants (GSEVEE)
The first School of Gastronomy was held in Molyvos, Lesvos, between November 18 and 20, 2022, at the Multi-Cultural Network, organized by the Molyvos Tourism Agency in collaboration with the Vocational Training Center of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants (GSEVEE).
The three-day seminar covered topics on Marketing and quality food services, the resilience of small and very small businesses, the effects of the health and energy crisis on small and very small catering businesses, digital security, the dangers of the internet and online banking transactions, the road map of the responsible store of health interest, the analysis of the obligations arising from the new health regulations, the role of food managers and operators, the production process, etc.
On Saturday November 19, among other things, an open event was held with GSEVEE president, Mr. Giorgios Kavvathas as keynote speaker, who spoke about the issues that concern the food service industry, followed by a wine tasting organized by the United Winemaking Agricultural Cooperative of Samos.
The president of the Molyvos Tourism Agency, Mr. Nikos Molvalis, stated that the purpose of the “school” is to inform catering professionals about issues that concern them in order to upgrade the tourism product.
