A collective bargaining agreement was announced on Monday, a day after Christmas, between the relevant shipping ministry and the primary union representing crews of tug boats and salvage vessels.
Specifically, the agreement calls for increases of 2.5 percent, plus another 2.5 percent in the first and second halves of 2023, respectively. The development means a suspension of industrial actions in the sector.
