The political exploitation that Panos Kammenos attempted on Thursday morning at the site of the tragedy – blaming citizens for the disorganised construction in Mati and implying that this is why the town was burnt – has become a boomerang.
Kammenos, Christos Spirtzis, and Nikos Toskas, seem to have been unaware – when they unleashed charges against citizens about illegal buildings – that the city plan for Kokkino Limanaki was signed by a minister of their own government.
