Orthodox Church of Greece expands charitable activity

The Orthodox Church of Greece is expanding its charitable activity through the Apostoli charity with the donation of equipment, services and entrepreneurial mentoring to businesses and cooperative enterprises in both the primary and secondary sectors of the economy.
The project will be run for the fourth consecutive year, in cooperation with International Orthodox Christian Charities – IOCC.
The Archdiocese of Athens has issued a call to businesses to submit applications for the 2018-2019 period.
The businesses that apply must be located in Greece and have one of the following legal statuses:
Primary sector: Cooperatives
Secondary Sector: Cooperatives or individual businesses, S.A. companies, Limited Liability Companies.
The programme covers businesses active in agronutrition, food industries, and cultural and creative industries, which must have completed at least one fiscal year in business, and with an annual turnover of up to 1.5 million euros.
Businesses with exclusively commercial activity are excluded.
Those businesses which are selected will receive up to 10,000 euros, which cannot be used for non-productive equipment, computer equipment, technical works, or salaries.

The deadline for applications is 28 February, and the application forms can be found at www.mkoapostoli.gr in the section entitled “Who we are – proclamations and tenders.
