The marathon discussion in Parliament on the third bailout agreement that was recently reached between the government and the institutions continues on Friday morning, with the critical vote yet to take place.
During the long discussion, government and opposition MPs frequently clashed on the bailout agreement and the procedures observed in Parliament.
The discussion opened with a delay, after the President of Parliament Zoi Konstantopoulou formally requested a ten-hour debate – meaning that it last until 2pm on Friday. According to an earlier decision the parliamentary discussion was to end at 3am on Friday, followed by a vote.
