Brown Hotels adds another 4 units in central Athens to its stable; goal is 25 properties around Greece
Brown Hotels, founded by Israeli investor and entrepreneur Leon Avigad, is apparently focusing on the city center around Omonia Square, a grittier part of the Greek capital but one close to well-known sights and attractions, while also considered less expensive in terms of commercial real estate prices.
Brown Hotels has acquired the management of four smaller to mid-sized central Athens hotels from the Tsakiris family, namely, the Museum Hotel behind the National Archaeological Museum, the MyAthens in the Kerameikos district near the Acropolis, the Kubic Smart Hotel, dubbed as the first “smart hotel” in the country, as well as the Pythagoreion.

The group has opened or renovated another six hotel properties in Athens, and has also ventured outside Athens, with the Brown Beach Corinthia at the Aghii Theodori resort town, west of Athens, along with another larger unit near iconic Cape. Sounion, in the extreme southeast tip of Attica prefecture.
The group’s ambitious goal is to operate, in the first phase, 25 units around Greece.
