Female bus drivers  met yesterday morning with the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Maria Syregela. Ms. Syregela was guided by the drivers and the President of OSY SA (Road Transport SA) Vassilis Xypolytas to the company’s facilities in the Botanikos area, and discussed with them the difficulties they face in the exercise of their profession.

Then Ms. Syregela emphasized that “at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs we are implementing actions that strengthen the equal participation of women and men at work. We work every day to break down the barriers and social stereotypes that cause inequalities and exclusions. Because women and men have equal rights and deserve equal opportunities.”

For his part, Mr. Xipolytas thanked Ms. Syregela for the valuable exchange of views he had with the women in the OSY regarding the difficulties of the profession they practice and stated that “equality between the two sexes and the participation of women in all aspects of the professional and public sphere are our constant pursuit”.
