Greek museum receipts up by 1,009.8% in June
According to ELSTAT, an increase in visitors and receipts is recorded in the archeological sites and museums of the country, in June
According to ELSTAT, archeological sites recorded an increase of 701.3% in June, 354.3% in free admission and 1,098.8% in receipts.
In the first half, there is a decrease of 18.6% in visitors and 42.4% in free admission visitors, while an increase of 43.2% is recorded in receipts, given the suspension of operation of archaeological sites from March 14 until 17 May 2020 and again from 7 November 2020 to 21 March.
It is noted that the museums, which suspended their operation from March 14, 2020 to June 16, 2020 in implementation of the measures taken to deal with the pandemic, in June 2020 operated a total of 15 calendar days, while in June this year they operated normally.
In the first half, there was a decrease of 52.3% in visitors and 63.4% in free admission visitors, while an increase of 1.1% was recorded in receipts.
