In the context of its commitment to the continuous upgrade of its services and the creation of added value for Greek companies, EY Hellas welcomes to the company and its management team George Poulopoulos, as a new Partner, responsible for consulting services to CFOs. At the same time, Mr. Poulopoulos will provide corporate strategy services to CEOs and other business leaders, supporting them in the planning and implementation of the business transformation of their organizations.

With almost three decades of professional experience, Mr. Poulopoulos has held managerial positions in the financial sector, as well as in groups active in infrastructure, shipping and media, with main areas of responsibility being financial, information systems, business planning, strategy, investor relations, and procurement management.

He started his career in the banking sector in 1993, serving, among others, as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Piraeus Bank Group, while for many years he held the position of Senior General Manager and CFO of the Group. Prior to joining the EY team, he held the position of CFO of a large Greek group active in renewable energy sources, concessions, waste management, construction and real estate development.

Mr. Poulopoulos holds a degree in Economics from the University of Athens and an MBA from Henley Management College (Brunel University) in London.
