Society must comprehend the critical nature of the challenge which it faces and contribute all its means and weapons to the effort to battle the pandemic.
Our country is waging a tough battle with a pandemic.
It threatens the lives of the most vulnerable citizens.
It also threatens with collapse a health system and an economy already battered by a decade-long economic crisis.
It is not just a segment of society that is imperiled.
Everyone is in danger.
Everyone must rally together due to the magnitude of the threat.
Neither the state nor society can wage this battle on their own.
For the crisis to be weathered successfully the state must exhaust all its forces to protect society, which in turn must act with cognisance of the danger and with a sense of responsibility.
