A total of 1,968 refugees and migrants reached the islands of the northern Aegean in March.

Of these, 1,369 passed through Lesvos, 541 arrived in Samos, and just 58 in Chios.

The arrivals in January were 1,504, and 997 in February.

By comparison, 1,407 refugees and migrants arrived in the northern Aegean islands in March, 2017 (336 in Lesvos, 824 in Chios, and 247 in Samos).

For March, 2016, there were 8,604 migrants who reached the northern Aegean islands (3,277 in Lesvos, 3,614 in Chios, and 1,713 in Samos).

According to data from the Turkish Coast Guard, published on its website, it conducted 34 operations within Turkish territorial waters in March, 2018, and pushed back to Turkish shores 1,409 refugees and migrants.

Meanwhile, there were two separate arrivals on the island of Samos yesterday, the one with 84 people, and another boat that was tugged with 60 passengers. There were no arrivals on Lesvos and Chios.
