
Azamara homeports cruises from Greece
The Miami-based "boutique" cruise company announced that the cruise ship Azamara Quest will resume cruising on August 28 from Piraeus
Azamara is yet another cruise company that has announced the start of European operations this year with trips that will start from Greece in August.
The Miami-based “boutique” cruise company announced that the cruise ship Azamara Quest will resume cruising on August 28 from Piraeus.
Each voyage will last seven nights, with overnight stays in ports such as Santorini, Rhode,s and Heraklion. Cruises with Azamara Quest will open for booking on May 11th.
“There is no better way to return than to a country that Azamara knows best, Greece,” said Azamara President Carol Cabezas. “Our return would not have been possible without the support of the Minister of Tourism Haris Theocharis, the local government and the port authorities,” he added.
The Minister of Tourism, Haris Theocharis, stated that “we look forward to welcoming Azamara and its guests to Greece in August. We fully support the return of the line to cruises in the Aegean. And we are sure that all its passengers will have unique experiences at our beautiful destinations.”
It is noted that with the exception of cruises in Greece all other Azamara cruises until September 2021 have been suspended.
