PM’s office blasts Mitsotakis for trying to exploit a tragedy

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ press office unleashed an attack on New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who earlier offered withering criticism of the government’s handling of the recent wildfires, during a press conference today.
“Mr. Mitsotakis appeared to be reading the answers prepared for him by his communications team. He attempted once again to produce political added value, by exploiting the pain and loss of dozens of our fellow citizens,” the statement read.
“However, human lives cannot become the object of political exploitation. Citizens also judge those who pass judgment,” the statement concluded.
