The Tobea team which developed the SEATRAC system, which allows autonomous access the see for people with kinetic problems, has been declared “National Champion” at the European Business Awards for 2015/2016.

The next phase of the competition, which will see the audience determine the “Public Champion” of Europe, will see the Greek team compete with companies from 33 other European countries. Voting for the competition concludes on the 26th of February.

The innovative SEATRAC system, which was developed at the technical engineering labs at the University of Patra by professor V. Kostopoulos and Dr. G. Sotiriadis, has been put into use in many beaches in Greece and Cyprus over the past seven years.
