Golden Dawn MP Christos Hatzisavvas and party member Artemis Mattheopoulos were forced to leave from a protest organized by Pontic Greek associations in Thessaloniki on Monday.
When the two members of the neo-Nazi party refused to leave the gathering, they were violently assaulted by the Pontic Greeks and eventually departed.
A 59-year-old man was arrested by the police on Tuesday after he was identified in a video of the assault.
