US AMBASSADOR TO ATHENS

Since childhood, Tsunis and his family were active members of the Greek-American community. He attended Greek school, marched in the annual Greek Independence Day parades in Manhattan (Photo, centre), and was an active member of the Greek Orthodox parish of Agia Paraskevi.

The US Ambassador said the US, EU 'share a perspective on developments in the waters off of Cyprus... and in avoiding any further provocative actions by Turkey'.
