ANTI-SMOKING LAW

As Ta Nea reported the health ministry will stress prevention, educational programmes at schools, and a campaign to sensitise public opinion to the great dangers.

Inspections were conducted at restaurants, cafeterias, bars, internet cafes, refreshment bars at theatres, and nightclubs.

Naturally, there will be resistance based on the supposed rights of smokers and on the financial interests of venues the clienteles of which include smokers.
