With the newly recorded deaths, 25,603 people have died of COVID-19 in Greece since the beginning of the pandemic, of whom 95 percent had an underlying medical condition and/or were age 70 or older.

Of intubated patients, 72.55 percent are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while the percentage of those who are fully vaccinated is on the rise (27.45 percent).

In the last 24 hours, 363 COVID patients were admitted to hospital (a daily increase of 20.6 percentage points), and for the last seven days the average daily number of admissions is 364 patients.

A total of 2.32mn infections (49.6 percent men) have been recorded in Greece since the start of the pandemic (a daily rise of 0.8 percentage points).

There are 484 intubated COVID patients, with a median age of 66-years-old, and 86 percent have an underlying medical condition and/or are age 70 or older. 74.2 percent are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while 25.8 percent are fully vaccinated.

In the last 24 hours, 448 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to hospital, a whopping daily rise of 30.6 percent. For the last seven days the average number of admissions daily is 394 patients

With the newly recorded 106 deaths, 23,833 people have died of COVID-19 in Greece since the start of the pandemic, 95 percent with an underlying medical condition and/or age 70 or older.

In the last 24 hours, 521 COVID patients have been admitted to hospital (a daily increase of 14.76 percent). For the last seven days, the average daily number of admissions is 454 patients.

There are currently 563 intubated COVID-19 patients (60.7 percent men), with a median age of 66-years-old, and 84 percent have an underlying medical condition and/or are age 70 or older. Of intubated patients, 78.8 percent are unvaccinated.

In the last 24 hours, 465 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to hospital (a daily rise of 9.93 percent). For the last seven days, the average number of daily admissions was 490 patients. The median age of patients with new infections is 35-years-old.

With the deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, 22,549 people have died of COVID-19 in Greece since the start of the pandemic, and 95 percent had an underlying medical condition and/or were age 70 or older.

At a weekly health ministry briefing today, Alternate Health Minister Mina Gaga said that in at least one case a hospital used as much oxygen as would normally last for one or two weeks in the past.

With hospitals in various regions of the country at the verge of collapse, the epidemiological map of much of Greece is in deep red and the number of deaths, intubatations, and new infections is rapidly rising.

There are 381 cases of intubated COVID-19 cases with a median age of 64. Of these patients, 90 percent are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated (with one dose) and about 10 percent are fully vaccinated.

It was Health Minister Vasilis Kikilias who brought EODY into the limelight - four days before the reports were published, in an apparent attempt at pre-emptive damage control.
