Multinational tech conglomerate Cisco has announced a program, in partnership with the Greek state’s Manpower Employment Organization (OAED), to train 3,000 eligible people currently on jobless roles on the field of cybersecurity, with another 1,000 runner-ups registered.

The training will be conducted online – via the Cisco Networking Academy – and is part of a MoC signed between Greece’s unemployment and vocational training agency with Cisco Systems. The program aims provide greater skills to people looking for employment in the IT sector and to boost the country’s digital economy.

Applicants that successfully complete the program will be bestowed a certificate of completion and a “Digital Badge”.
