Massa’s crimes in Karaiskakis Stadium – The whole chronicle of shame

AEK were the winners of the derby with Olympiacos in Karaiskakis, but the Piraeus team have terrible complaints about how the Italian referee, Davide Massa, ran the game.
The people of the Piraeus team are complaining about at least four cases which decided the outcome of the game.
Initially, in the 13′, Masa did not call the penalty that Domagoj Vida gave to Cédric Bakambu with AEK’s Croatian stopper pushing the Olympiacos center forward inside the penalty area.

The Italian referee even gave a phantom penalty in favor of AEK in the 80′.
Vida fell into the Olympiakos area, without being touched by Oleg Reabciuk and Massa awarded a penalty.
The Italian referee made a wrong call and gave Garcia the opportunity to send the ball into the net, giving AEK the lead (1-2).

Another big mistake made by the derby referee was Amrabat’s clear foul on Reabciuk early in the phase of AEK third goal, which Mandalos scored in stoppage time.
AEK’s Moroccan winger pushed the defender of the Piraeus club, but the Italian referee did not call what was an obvious foul and as the phase progressed, Mandalos sent the ball into the net.

All of Massa’s mistakes in detail:

· 1′ he should have whistled for a foul in favor of Olympiakos when Vida held Bakambu.
· 8′ he should have whistled for a foul in favor of Olympiakos when AEK’s Mukudi pushed Valbuena.
· 13′ the referee wrongly did not whistle for a penalty for a push on Bakambu, VAR had to recommend to the referee to review the phase for a penalty.
· 18′ correctly the assistant A indicated an offside AEK player, but the referee could have played out the advantage.
· 25′ correctly the A assistant indicated an offside player of AEK, when the attack was completed.
· 27′ he should have whistled for an offensive foul in favor of Olympiacos (Eliason pushed Reabciuk), instead of a corner in favor of AEK.
· 30′ he had to show a yellow card to AEK’s Simanski for stopping a promising attack.
· 35′ he had to whistle for a foul in favor of Olympiacos for illegal marking on Fortounis (kick to the shin).
· 38′ he had to send off Szymanski with a red card for serious dangerous play on Valbuena, as he pressed with his boots on the latter’s Achilles tendon.
· 40′ he correctly indicated a yellow card to Szymanski for dangerous play.
· 41′ wrongly indicated a yellow card to Rodinei, since his marking was not risky, in similar cases he had not whistled for a foul, but neither had he indicated yellow cards to AEK players.
· 43′ he correctly indicated a yellow card to AEK’s Pineda of AEK for unsportsmanlike conduct, blocking a promising attack.
· 66′ he wrongly did not whistle for a foul in favor of Olympiacos, then Fortounis committed a foul which he whistled correctly and indicated a yellow card to Fortounis for unsportsmanlike conduct, but he had to indicate a second yellow card to AEK’s Szymanski for the skirmish between them .
· 68′ correctly the assistant B indicated an offside to AEK’s Moukoudi of, when the attack was completed.
· 72′ he had to whistle for a foul in favor of Olympiacos when an AEK player illegally marked Fortounis.
· 78′ he had to whistle a foul for in favor of Olympiacos when AEK’s Vida illegally marked Fortounis, outside the left of the AEK penalty area.
· 80-82′ he wrongly whistled for a penalty when Vida fell in the penalty area, wrongly VAR did not recommend the review of the play to the referee, for non-infringement penalty, there was no contact by Reabciuk.
· 85′ correctly the B assistant indicated an offside player of AEK.
· 90+1-5′ wrongly assistant B and the referee did not whistle a foul before AEK’s goal, wrongly VAR did not recommend to the referee to review the play for a foul before the goal.
