Four-day World LNG Summit & Awards in Athens later this month; first-ever holding in Greece
The summit and the accompanying awards ceremonies will be held between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2
Athens is set to host the 22nd World LNG Summit & Awards late this month, marking the first time that the closely-watched event will be held in Greece.
The summit and the accompanying awards ceremonies will be held between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2, under the auspices of Greece’s ministry of environment and energy, and hosted by DESFA, the natural gas transmission system operator in the country.
As expected, the summit will bring together global LNG leaders from across the value chain, with the aim to showcase the very critical role of LNG and gas play in both energy security and the ongoing drive for decarbonization.
Speakers representing top LNG and gas-affiliated concerns and companies are expected to address topics in a business-centric environment, including: global LNG, gas supply and demand dynamics; the impact of the war in Ukraine on LNG; new LNG technology initiatives and low-carbon solutions; the race to build LNG import infrastructure, as well as LNG shipping and financing trends.

The 22nd World LNG Summit & Awards is the leading conference supporting the global LNG, gas and energy value chain in the region. The event is expected to attract more than 500 attendees and 90 speakers from 45 countries over four days of conference sessions, along with three fully CPD accredited master classes.
Among the highlights are a tour of the Revithoussa islet LNG Terminal and the 2022 World LNG Awards Evening.
