Greece’s all-important tourism sector got another “chill” on Monday with an announcement by TUI UK that it was cancelling flights to eight prime holiday destinations in the country.

In an announcement, the company said that “…Due to ongoing uncertainty around travel, we have unfortunately had to cancel all holidays… Up to and including 21st July”.

Besides Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Preveza, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thassos and Crete (Chania) in Greece, TUI UK announced flight cancellations to numerous other destinations around the world.
