Our skylights are done!! 🙌 Although this room has large windows along the back wall, there’s no natural light coming from the other 3 sides of the room and it’s always felt a little dark in here. Adding @veluxusa skylights has completely solved that problem by creating a more even distribution of natural light. ⁣ ⁣ The best part is that they’re solar powered and we can open and close them easily with a remote or from our phones. Friday evening & what a week it has been! Brian went back to work after 6 weeks recovering at home, we have had 2 kids down with chicken pox, we finally got our huge old half dead evergreen cut down & there have been diggers, dumpers, tractors and trailers here the past 3 days doing Trojan work (they have been here since 8am and are still outside working away 👌)! Yesterday the outside resembled some sort of crater with mounds and mounds of clay being moved from the back lawn to the front, today they have been levelling the front and I watched in horror as our ash tree in the lawn had a few near misses 🌳🙈😱. But I can cope with the mess, the clay everywhere, endless cups of tea for workmen and all the constant cleaning of floors because after over 2 years here we are finally getting our lawns 🍾🎉🎊🍾. Patios starting as soon as these guys are done 🙌🙌. Waking up to a clean kitchen starts the day off right! It’s my youngest son’s 15th birthday today!🎈🎈We’ll be celebrating him all day long and of course eating lots of cake this evening.
