Yorgos Amyras

Nikolas Yatromanolakis is the first openly gay cabinet minister in Greek history and that is no small thing. It is a bold, completely destigmatising move that sends a message to various quarters.

Barring any surprises the government will have a majority in favour of the Prespa Accord on the foreign affairs committee and in the upcomimg 24 January ratification vote.

Already in crisis, the small centre-right party was demolished by internal disputes over ratification of the Greece-FYROM Prespa Agreement.
