Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday spoke by phone with his UK counterpart Boris Johnson, with talks focusing on an upcoming NATO summit in Madrid next week.

The NATO summit comes amid the ongoing war in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of the country.

According to reports, Mitsotakis briefed Johnson over Athens’ support of Ukraine’s European prospects.

A possible one-on-one meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the summit was also cited.
