The second phase of the international public tender for the creation of the Innovation State in the abandoned facilities of CHROPEI is in progress.

The competitive dialogue will be held in the coming months in order to find a contractor, in the second quarter of 2022.

This is stated by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Christos Dimas, in a post on social media.

More specifically, as the Deputy Minister wrote: “The second phase of the international public tender (PPP) for the creation of the Innovation State, in the abandoned facilities of CHROPEI, began on Friday.

– The competitive dialogue will be held in the coming months in order to find a contractor, in the second quarter of 2022.

– The investment is expected to reach 100 million euros, without being borne by the Greek State, since the construction and operation costs will be borne by the private sector.

The first Innovation State created in Greece will be a natural space where researchers, start-ups and Research and Development Departments (R&D) of companies and industries will create business synergies producing innovative products and services for the benefit of the Greek economy and society. The aforementioned Center is expected to contribute to the creation of more than 2,500 new, quality and well-paid jobs for our scientists.”
