Greek Finance Minister Christos Staikouras remained firmly in place in the important Cabinet portfolio amid the first “moderate” government reshuffle announced by the Mitsotakis government on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, his immediate subordinate, the Deputy FinMin overseeing the credit and financial sector, Giorgos Zavvos, was one of the “casualties” of the reshuffle.
In a statement thanking Zavvos for his contributions, Staikouras underlined that Greece now smoothly operates in fluid international and European environment, one rife with major challenges, but also with significant opportunities. He also thanked PM Mitsotakis for renewing his trust in his person at the helm of the ministry.
