Castor Maritime continues the rally of ship purchases. The Nasdaq listed Cyprus-based shipping company bought another kamsarmax, the seventh in its fleet for $ 21 million.

The ship was built in 2013 at Japanese shipyards, and will be delivered to the new owner by the beginning of the third quarter of 2021.

Castor CEO Petros Panagiotidis commented that with the addition of this ship, the company has a mixed fleet of 24 bulk dry cargo ships and tankers.

It is noted that out of the 24 ships one is Capesize, 7 are Kamsarmax and 8 are Panamax in terms of bulk cargo ships and in terms of tankers one is aframax, 5 are Aframax / LR2 and 2 are MR1 tankers.
