“Utilizing new cutting-edge technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics we can ensure a better future for our seas.”

This was noted by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Christos Dimas at the event organized by the Hellenic Ports Association entitled: “Ports with a view to the future: Challenges and Prospects”, in the context of Posidonia 2022.

New era

The Deputy Minister, as he states in a post on social media, notes that he spoke about the new era in the shipping industry and its impact on Greek society, history and economy and more specifically said: “Posidonia 2022 is one of the largest shipping industry reports worldwide. Utilizing new cutting-edge technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics we can ensure a better future for our seas and the environment in general that also has a stronger economic footprint.

The evolution of the shipping industry has formed a new framework for logistics, security at multiple levels and of course for energy transport (fuel handling), diversification and autonomy. “Greece, having the know-how, the experience, the geographical position but also having the largest fleet in the world, can take advantage of the international situation and play a leading role in developments”.
