Centre-left Movement for Change leader Fofi Gennimata, in talks with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels today, requested that the Commission offer a “decisive input” in the discussions on Greek debt relief.

“I asked Mr. Juncker today for a decisive input of the European Commission toward reducing the country’s public debt, in accordance with the 2012 decisions of the Eurogroup, so as to secure our country’s definitive exit from the crisis and the memorandums.,” Gennimata said after the meeting.

“This is the only way to create a climate of security that will spur growth and produce the investment shock that we need. The sacrifices of the Greek people over many years must be vindicated. That is the paramount aim of the Movement for Change,” Gennimata concluded.
