Students, faculty and friends of Ohio State’s Modern Greek Program will meet, via an online platform, for a weekly reading in Greek, of a novel by Petros Markaris, which has been translated into several languages.

A discussion follows, mostly in English, and with a translation available.

Advanced students of Greek will also enjoy the reading of a murder mystery, written modern Greek, in the tradition of Yannis Maris, but with a timely edge, one touching on the financial crisis affecting Greece and much of the world.

Meetings normally last for about an hour and are usually held on Thursdays at 3 p.m. EDT (20.00 GMT).
