Although not established to the modern greek associated emotion like the great land battles during WWII, the greek fights on sea where equally severe and important. Under simultaneous triple occupation -the only country around the who suffered triple occupation-  Greece kept on fighting where the conquers could not intervene; Seas and oceans.
That was a double fight; From the warships on the one side, centered on the allied headquarter on the Middle East and the ones of the commercial shipment, that had written their own pages of glory on the chapter of the great fight for freedom on the other. This unique battle outside the borderline of the greek State, on the open horizon of international seas, with ships and  crew which were not destinied to nor had the equipment for that cause, offered way to many. And this  is the, unknown to the majority, story of the struggle.
