Although the number of reviews is still small, the rating is indicative of the success of Papakaliatis’ series, produced by MEGA.

Rave comments on Twitter

Twitter users love the plot and the script, the performances of the actors, while the song by Haroula Alexiou, «Prayer», is a smash hit.

«Prayer», which was first heard on the 1995 album «Odos Nefelis ’88», is the song that accompanied the popular director and writer when he was writing the series. That’s how he was also inspired, as he has revealed in an interview, the role of Harula.

Alexiou’s presence in the series is one of the great gifts that Papakaliatis and MEGA gave to the viewers.

«Friends and acquaintances call and text me and strangers send me messages from all four corners of the globe to express their joy for Maestro,» Haroula Alexiou wrote in a recent post.

«I’m in love with the music, photography and storytelling», «I just started Maestro in Blue and I already want to move to a Greek island», «Everyone go see the first Greek series on Netflix, Maestro in Blue», are just a few of the comments on Twitter.

#Christopher Papakaliatis plays the titular role of Orestis. Interestingly, he is also the show’s director. It is the first time I saw a director playing the lead in a nine-episode-long series. He has done an absolutely amazing job… #MaestroInBlue https://t.co/DxpUagrRWL
